The
International Union of Pure and Applied Physics declared the
year 2005 as the World Year of Physics. The year 2005 marks
the 100th anniversary of some of Einstein's most significant
theories - theories which changed the way we view our universe
and ourselves.
People all over the world are joining in the celebration of physics and
its importance in our everyday lives. We too organize a meeting to celebrate
this event.

We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming International Symposium "Topical
Problems of Nonlinear Wave Physics-2005" and to invite you to attend it and
make it a great scientific event. The Symposium will be held on board a comfortable
boat cruising from St.-Petersburg to Nizhny Novgorod from August 2 through
August 9, 2005.
This meeting is a logical continuation of the previous symposium "Topical
Problems of Nonlinear Wave Physics-2003" (NWP-2003), with
slightly changed topics for discussion in line with the present
day trends, that was held in September 2003 and attracted leading
experts from all over the world. The upcoming Symposium will be
devoted to recent progress in the interrelated fields of nonlinear
physics with applications to systems of different origin.
The Symposium will include three parallel Topical Conferences:
and a few workshops on the topics within the symposium scope.
The Symposium is highly interdisciplinary in nature and opens rich opportunities
for the interaction between the researchers active in diverse fields of fundamental
physics of nonlinear waves and applications.
Each Topical Conference will include oral (invited and contributed talks) and
poster sessions. Besides, some plenary lectures on interrelated topics are
planned. A special session for young scientists will be held.
The format of the Symposium offers opportunities for unlimited discussions
in addition to usual session presentations. The extremely attractive cruise
route will make the meeting not only useful but very picturesque and pleasant
too. A social program for participants and accompanying persons will include
sightseeing and tours on the cruise route, music concerts aboard, and symposium
dinner.
Join the World Year of Physics 2005 celebration
by attending our Symposium.
The Symposium organizers look forward to meet you this summer.
